Avaris is focused on cell therapies for indications with great unmet medical need.

Avaris will develop and market Novel, Innovative and Safe treatments and services based on cell therapy. The treatments will bring clinically meaningful benefits to patients with severe diseases, to improve survival and quality of life. Avaris’ lead program is CellProtect, an NK-cell therapy with primary indication in multiple myeloma. Avaris has shown in preclinical models that autologous, expanded NK-cells can kill myeloma cells.

CellProtect is scheduled to start Phase I in multiple myeloma patients in 2011.
